Personal Care Worker

The Society of Saint Hilarion is a not-for-profit organisation, founded on an emphasis on family and community values. Our residential facilities at Seaton and Fulham are seeking experienced casual Personal Care Workers that are looking to make a difference in the lives of older adults.

 

About the Role:

The Personal Care Worker provides high quality and safe personal care for clients in a kind, compassionate and respectful manner in accordance with the organisational values to ensure their holistic care needs are met. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide high quality and safe personal care that respects consumers’ dignity, privacy and choice.
  • Maintain and encourage consumers’ independence, choice and decision making. 
  • Assist in the evaluation of consumers’ progress, recording and reporting changes to health, wellbeing and preferences to the Enrolled and Registered nurse.
  • Assist in gathering documentation for the Care Plan under the guidance of the Enrolled and Registered Nurse
  • Understand and adhere to clinical procedures and the Aged Care Quality Standards to ensure each residents safety and well-being.

 

Mandatory requirements for all candidates:

  • Hold a minimum of a Certificate III in Aged Care
  • Valid National Police Check 
  • Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia;
  • 100 points of ID (Driver's license, Passport, Birth certificate) 

 

The Key Candidate:

  • Be experienced in working as a qualified personal care worker within an aged care residential environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound time management to manage own workload

Candidates whom speak a second language desirable (Italian or Greek highly desirable) - please include this in your resume.
