About Us
The Society of Saint Hilarion Inc Aged Care is a not for profit organisation with over 30 years experience providing Residential Aged Care services across two sites and Home Care and Community programs.
Position Overview
The People & Culture Generalist provides high level support across all areas of human resources, with a strong focus on recruitment, employment relations, performance management, award interpretation and workforce development. The role also supports effective delivery of onboarding and offboarding, and employee trainings by providing oversight and advise and to ensure quality across the People & Culture function. The key duties and responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the performance review process, ensuring documentation is distributed, tracked and completed on time.
- Support workplace investigations, grievances, and employee relations matters to ensure fair, compliant, and timely resolution.
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, induction, onboarding, compliance and off-boarding
- Assist with HR processes including contracts, compliance, remuneration & benefits, and HR administration
- Monitor training records and mandatory training compliance
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Qualifications, experience and knowledge within human resources or related field
- Demonstrated understanding of award interpretation, particularly the Aged Care Award, Nurses Award, SCHADS Award and relevant enterprise agreements
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathetic and emotionally intelligent
- Ability to balance strategic insight with hands-on support to problem solve issues
- Highly developed Microsoft office suite skills
- Ability to work autonomously and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Current National Criminal Screening Check
- Rights to work in Australia
