As a part of our vibrant team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our clients while contributing to the ongoing success and development of our services in our current 6 month maternity leave vacant Clinical Nurse role within the Seaton facility.
Position Overview
In this role, you will utilise your clinical and influencing knowledge and experience with your people management skills to ensure that our residents are supported and cared for. This includes::
- Delivering high standards of clinical nursing care to residents
- Engaging with our residents, families and staff in person-centred care planning and service delivery
- Assess and manage residents with complex needs to ensure optimum care according to their assessed needs
- Mentoring Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Care Workers while leading by example
- Promoting compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and internal policies
- Assisting with audits, assessments, SIRS investigations and care plan reviews
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation and reporting
- Collaborating with the Clinical Nurse Managers to support daily operations
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse with a strong commitment to aged care quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills and a collaborative approach to nursing that includes the following:
- Registered as a nurse with APHRA (with no conditions)
- Understanding of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency and Accreditation System.
- Proven experience in supervising, coaching, and mentoring nursing staff.
- Strong skills in assessment, documentation, and clinical care delivery.
- At least 2 years experience working in an aged care facility, in a clinical role.
- Proven leadership skills that supports and mentor's staff regarding clinical matters through positive role modelling.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in the routine documentation of care notes and preparation of reports.
- A passion for providing individualised clinical care to support our clients.
- A capacity to multitask, prioritise and delegate in order to meet deadlines and manage the expectations.
- Hold a current First Aid certificate
- A National Police Clearance no more than 12 months old (or willing to obtain one)
- An understanding of the Italian culture and language would be desirable.
Applicants should have a thorough understanding of contemporary issues in aged care and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels to improve care standards.
